Samarqand ist eine der ältesten durchgehend bewohnten Städte Zentralasiens. Seine Lage machte es zu einer wichtigen Station an der Seidenstraße zwischen China und dem Mittelmeer, die Samarkand zu einer der größten Städte Zentralasiens machte.

Chiwa ist eine weitere interessante Stadt im Westen Usbekistans. Itchan Kala in Chiwa war die erste Stätte in Usbekistan, die in die Liste des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes (1991) aufgenommen wurde.

Taschkent ist die Hauptstadt von Usbekistan. Es ist bekannt für seine vielen Museen und seine Mischung aus moderner und sowjetischer Architektur. Vergessen Sie nicht die U-Bahn-Station mit verschiedenen Kunstwerken in jeder Station (ähnlich wie in Moskau).
