Bután es un país pacífico, seguro y muy amigable en el Himalaya oriental. Si está buscando mochileros, discotecas, playas y tiempo de fiesta, ha venido al país equivocado. Bután es muy tranquilo, pero ofrece magníficos monasterios, magníficos paisajes y excelentes (!) hoteles. La gente ama a su familia real. TRADICIÓN se escribe en mayúsculas (por ejemplo, ropa). Pero es caro (USD 200-250 por persona, por día) y solo se puede visitar en un tour (con un operador local).

Paro (36)
Paro es donde la mayoría de los visitantes ingresarán al Reino de Bután, porque alberga el aeropuerto internacional. Sin embargo, Paro es una ciudad pequeña con algunos hoteles y la principal atracción turística de Bután: el Monasterio del Nido del Tigre, una caminata fácil.
Thimpu (36)
La Capital de Bután (aprox. 80´000 habitantes) es bastante relajante como el resto de Bután. Los principales edificios gubernamentales están aquí, compartidos con los monasterios budistas. Es posible que encuentre lugareños practicando el deporte nacional de tiro con arco (arco y flecha larga). Hay algunos hoteles REALMENTE agradables, como el Heritage Hotel y el Taj, pero no son baratos.
