Kenya
Kenya and Tanzania are the major tourist attraction in Eastern Africa. There are great safaris possible with views of Mount Kilimanjaro and easy access to Lake Victoria. The Serengeti with the Great Migration of wild animals is partially in Kenya and many Masai live on its territory. Lake Nukuru has millions of flamingos. The major cities Mombasa and Nairobi are modern with lots of shopping possibilities.

Botswana
Botswana has one major tourist attraction that you'll hardly find somewhere else. Most river deltas end in a sea or ocean. The 1600 km long Okavango river ends inland with no sea insight, at the Okavango Delta.
