Travel Destinations of Hawaii.
Hawaii is one of the smallest states in the USA and far away from the main land. Volcanoes and nature are beautiful here. The economy depends largely on tourism, but several movies (Jurassic Park) and television series (Hawaii Five-O, Magnum) were recorded here. Hawaii is also the origin of big wave surfing and the Iron Man (triathlon).
The historic city and port of Lahaina in West-Maui was destroyed by forest fires in August 2023.
